When it Rains, it Pours

I was driving out to a park in Bryan in dry weather when all of the sudden I got hit by a downpour. The rain went from 0 to downpour in about half a second. My driver-side windshield wiper blade needs to be replaced, as the rubber on it is coming off (making the wiper useless in such a hard rain), so I had to take back roads to get back to my apartment. There were points in my drive back that I couldn't see any car that didn't have its headlights on, making the drive back a scary ordeal.

Several things can be taken from this. The first and most obvious is that I need to get my windshield wiper blade replaced. This would be all well and good except for the obvious fact that I lack the funds to do so. The second thing is more food for thought. I'm inclined to ask myself, why does it seem that in our lives, we never really have "sprinkle issues"? No issue is ever this minor one that isn't a big deal. When it rains, it pours, as the saying goes. We've never underwhelmed, we're always overwhelmed. (Although one could argue, I suppose, that being underwhelmed is simply another word for being bored...)

I have a lot on my plate right now, and a lot to think about. As God is changing me and molding me, it feels like it's pouring on every side. Indeed it is true that when it rains, it often pours. I merely pray that I can find my way through the downpour and that there aren't any oncoming vehicles that don't have their headlights on.
