The art of chill is waning...
This evening was spent chilling--a night "hanging out with the guys". I put the phrase "hanging out with the guys" in quotes because two girls were present, but this really didn't change much. We met at my apartment for dinner then went to the Chill Basille to watch the Mavs game (which they unfortuneately lost) and then to sit outside, talk, and smoke. For me, the last of these involved being given a pipe that I had no idea how to use and inhaling this ash and smoke substance that made me feel queezy to my stomach. I somehow doubt I will touch a pipe again in the near future.
Sitting and talking (for a little while) is really nice, and it was really fun to just chill out and not have to worry about all the things that are going on. The group I hung out with was not the people I'm used to being around, but I appreciated the new company and the change of pace--and overall it was a really enjoyable evening. It was worth the time I spent, which is good because I almost didn't go.
That said, it's going to be really different with girls living at 410 Ash. There's just something that doesn't fit about that, as I just don't think the girls living there are the types to sit out on the "porch" and chill and smoke for hours. That's a guy thing.
