The Blind Date that Happened

One of the things that has always stuck in my mind (it's been a little piece of paper taped to my monitor at times too) is a comment Elli made to me on IM about second chances. Perhaps she was right.

Tonight, I followed up my very unsuccessful attempt at a blind date on Monday with a successful blind date this evening. This is the same girl, if the paragraph above didn't make that clear. We actually continued talking after the incident on Monday ("oops...oh well, maybe we'll try again..."). We mused over doing something, but this weekend was booked because she was going out of town. However, she came back into town unexpectedly early, so we decided on a whim to grab coffee tonight. Well, she grabbed coffee while I drank hot chocolate, because I believe coffee to be one of the most disgusting substances on the planet.

It was a lot of fun. We had an enjoyable and amusing conversation, although we sat out in the cold the entire time and I was probably shivering and looking silly during the whole thing. Drinking hot chocolate in the cold is appropriate, so I guess that fits...problem was, the hot chocolate ran out too soon for that to really be an effective counter-measure. Still, 'twas a good hour or so; time will tell if anything comes of it (but at this point I somewhat hope it does). :)

I must now head for bed; church is early in the morning. I should drag the space heater to my bedroom.

Dunno if you're into this sorta thing or not, but it's next to impossible to discern your links from regular text... you might underline them or change the color or something.

Congrats on the successful blind date!

Oh, and yeah dude, coffee is teh suck

Ok, so I have to know, exactly what kind of coffee have you tried that's drawn you to your conclusion? B/c if it's "Tracy Coffee" (much love, no offense to Tracy intended) that does NOT count as coffee. :) I can make coffee so that even Wanda will drink it and she doesn't really like coffee either. So you should let me see if I can somewhat convert you.

Oh, and I'm glad the second chance went better than the first.
