The Pen is Mightier...

So Daniel pointed me to this rant, written by the creator of Mongrel (a lightweight Ruby web server). Just...wow. This has got to be one of the singular most scathing rants I have ever read...about anything.

The quote of the week is probably this one:
"In the name of fairness, I’ll admit right now that no matter what people tell you, I am not a great guy, not nearly as smart as people think I am, and my only claim to fame is this blog and a tiny little web server used by only a few people compared to others. I’m horrible at business even though I have an education in it. I still have personal communication issues, and I deal with a temper every day."

Important Note: While I'm sure there is some legitimacy, the lack of any semblance of professionalism in this rant should likely suggest that there are two sides to this story, and we're getting a marginalized view of just one. This blog post is not, therefore, intended as an endorsement; I don't know this person or enough about him to be able to make any judgment as to the legitimacy of his claims.
