They Don't Taste the Same

  • One thing that needs to be a well-known fact of life...the Goldfish that come in the boxes do not taste as good as the Goldfish that come in the cartons. Trust me on this, they just don't.
  • I had planned on having my beta site out before Ash Wednesday. That isn't happening.
  • My ability to completely mark up an entire, enormous whiteboard was shown yesterday...complete with a color-coded calendar that goes through October. I'm awesome. :)
  • Allergy season seems to now be over...for real!
  • My once-organized folding table desk has become a near clutter of papers and printouts and contracts for various jobs. I still know where everything is (some things never change from when you're a kid!), but wow would I like to get them a little more organized. I can hear Daniel in my head now. He always used to ask, "How do you organize your paper and electronic documents?" in interviews.
  • Speaking of which, Daniel, I asked the regex question in your honor yesterday.
  • I'm just now winding down from a five month long (albeit interrupted a couple times) kick of listening to Christmas music.
  • The Dopefish Lives! (just felt like saying that)
  • I was proud of myself yesterday--Mike commented that if Phil gave an HTML quiz, nobody would be able to pass it, so I asked Phil to grill me with esoteric HTML questions. I got every question right but one. :)
  • I just realized yesterday that I don't think I brought the cable that connects my Atari 2600 to the TV to work when I brought the unit. Not sure how we just noticed that yesterday (which is likely a crime).
  • That's it for today!

It is so true. I used to buy the boxed Goldfish for the value, but it's SO not worth it. The small carton is the best. I wonder if they might be better because of the type of foil used...

I could eat Goldfish out of the carton for three hours straight, maybe more. Box goldfish get three to four minutes.

I'm with Aaron on the foil.

I do, very often, eat carton Goldfish for three hours straight. :) Yay for tech jobs!

Speaking of which, Daniel, I asked the regex question in your honor yesterday.

Whenever the topic of regex comes up anymore, I can't help but think of http://xkcd.com/c208.html.

That's awesome; I've never seen that comic before.

Which isn't totally true. I did pass around an XKCD or two a couple months back. And I am honored that I've been referenced twice in the same post. Craziness.

Hmm...I do remember that now.

Yeah: xkcd is pretty glorious. It's the only webcomic I've ever gotten into, though I have started to work in Piled Higher and Deeper somewhat.
