Guess I'd better charge it...
So I'm having a little bit of a difficulty with my iPod. It...uhm....er...won't turn off. As in, it won't turn off at all. I guess it's a rather good thing that I pretty much always have the thing playing while it charges, but it's still a rather disconcerting problem. I mean, I'm as much a fan of music as anyone else and everything (;-)), but I'd like my relatively new iPod to actually power down.
OK, now for the stream of consciousness update. As I was writing this entry, I was discussing the issue with Daniel. Daniel was able to find how to reset the thing, and resetting the iPod solved the problem.
Speaking of Daniel, he and his wife Moriah came over last night (I've been having weekly Wii nights with them and a couple others) and we played the new Wii Play game. It's not as good as the first game (Wii Sports), but it's a hit...and the crowning game is this awesome game of Tanks. :) I had so much fun driving my cute little tank around shooting missiles at the other tanks. Mwahaha!
I'm still having trouble sleeping. I went to bed at 11:00 last night, took an hour to get to sleep, and then woke up at 2:00 to have a massive nose-blowing session. The bottom of my nose is completely red now. On the good side, the weather seems to be improving in my favor; however, I think trying to go without an allergy shot this year was a bad idea. I certainly spent more in medicine than I would have spent on the shot (by far), and while I understand that whatever substance is in those things needs to be used in moderation, allergy season is just completely miserable for me. And, since it doesn't look like I am going to be leaving Austin anytime soon...

What kind of allergy shot are you talking about? I got weekly shots for about a year when I was younger, but those were intended to induce my immune system to develop a tolerance for some of the allergens that affected me most. What you're describing sounds very different.

Hold down the play/pause button. That turns my ipod off.

Correct...that's how you turn all iPods off (except shuffles). However, it wasn't working correctly. Now that I reset it, the play/pause button turns it off normally. :)
