Overdue Post
It's been awhile since I've posted on this guy, I see. A lot (and I do mean a lot has happened), but the collection mostly comprises things that I don't really want to discuss here. Still, I couldn't let an entire Christmas season go by without an entry, so I guess something need to be put here.
I had an absolutely insane Christmas Eve. I agreed to fill in for John Mays, the primary audio/video guy at All Saints, which effectively plopped me into three church services...one for them in the morning, one for them in the evening, and one at Redeemer (oh, the RPC site has been hacked, so you may not want to click on that previous link for the next couple of days...). It wasn't difficult, but I felt really busy and worn out by the end of the day. Also, All Saints had an absolutely terrible soloist sing O Holy Night; not only could she not carry a tune, she couldn't hold a note either. I was praying for that one to end. :)
I've been having a really good time playing Final Fantasy XII, taking a time out from my World of Warcraft addiction (kinda, I play FF12 while sitting in WoW battleground queues). I'm really impressed with that game. After the disappointing previous two entries in the series, it's good to see Square really focus on having what may be the most compelling story since Final Fantasy VI.
I've been moving slowly from listening to a lot of country music to, with the Advent and Christmas seasons, listening to a lot of Celtic music. I love the sound and aura and really everything about Celtic music, and it always seems to be available in abundance around Christmas time. Ahhhh. I'm listening to Ding! Dong! Merrily on High at the moment, and feeling very content musically.
Speaking of musical urges, I have a bit of an urge to join Redeemer's choir...

It would warm my heart-cockles if you would do that.
What country music do you listen to?
Whoops, excuse me.
To what country music do you listen?

I didn't figure you to be a country music fan in the least. If you're into old-school country at all (Cash, Hank Sr., Loretta Lynn, etc.), there's a great internet radio station called BootLiquor that plays old and new stuff in that vein.
