So, those around me who know me well probably know that my birthday (October 14; today) usually sucks. I don't know why, but my birthday has always been something that has sucked since high school. For reasons I don't particularly want to delve into here, I expceted this year to be no exception.

However, someone took it upon himself to make sure that this didn't happen. For some reason that is unknown to me, but very appreciated, Michael (I imagine Elli was part of this scheme as well) made it his personal mission over the last few days to make sure I got to have something enjoyable happen...and he succeeded. I just got back from dinner with five close friends...quite possibly the best thing I could have asked for.

I'm now going to go to bed early, happy as a clam.
